National Security Dismantles Forgery Network in Basra Involved in Embezzling Billions

rafidainscope - The National Security Service in Basra announced on Thursday the arrest of three suspects, including a primary school principal, involved in forging and processing land compensation claims for the West Qurna oil field, resulting in the embezzlement of billions of dinars. An official statement reported that 36 official government and tribal stamps, along with substantial amounts of cash and real estate acquired through these illicit activities, were seized from one of the suspects. Interrogations led one suspect, who holds a directorial position in a local district, to confess and reveal the location of his main accomplice. The suspects have been detained pending legal action and referred to the competent judicial authorities.
