National Security Advisor Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Partnership and Supporting Stability with UK Ambassador

National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Aboudi received the United Kingdom's Ambassador to Baghdad, Irfan Siddiq, to discuss the prospects of bilateral relations and ways to develop joint cooperation in various fields. An official statement explained that the meeting focused on strengthening partnership frameworks between the two countries to serve mutual interests. Al-Aboudi affirmed during the meeting that Iraq's foreign policy relies on balance and building positive relations with the regional and international community, based on the principle of respecting sovereignty. He also stressed the government's strict commitment to the Iraqi constitution and international law, particularly regarding preventing the use of Iraqi territory as a launching pad for attacks against any other country. He pointed to the Iraqi leadership's vision aimed at building strong national institutions capable of making independent decisions that preserve the country's security and stability. For his part, the British Ambassador congratulated the National Security Advisor on his new position, affirming his country's commitment to continuing its support for Iraq and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two sides.
