Ministry of Justice Announces the Release of Hundreds of Inmates

The Ministry of Justice has announced the release of 640 inmates from detention facilities overseen by the Iraqi Correctional Department across Baghdad and various provinces. According to an official statement, the released individuals include 419 inmates set free under various judicial rulings and 221 individuals covered by the General Amnesty Law. The ministry reaffirmed that the correctional department continues to execute release procedures promptly upon the fulfillment of all legal prerequisites, aligning with established professional and humanitarian frameworks.
