The Federal Commission of Integrity issued a stern warning against extortion attempts carried out by individuals impersonating its personnel, exploiting the ongoing national anti-corruption campaign. In an official statement, the Commission emphasized that all its qualitative operations and measures to
combat corruption and pursue those embezzling public funds are conducted exclusively within strict legal frameworks and in direct coordination with competent judicial authorities. The Commission called on all official institutions, investors, and citizens to rigorously verify the identity of anyone
claiming to represent it and to ignore any communication occurring outside official channels. It also urged the public to promptly report any instances of extortion or impersonation via dedicated toll-free hotlines to ensure swift and deterrent legal action against those
involved.
