The Ministry of Agriculture announced the seizure of large quantities of imported industrial fats and tallow, which are banned from entering the country, before they could reach markets in Baghdad. The Ministry stated that veterinary department teams, in coordination with
specialized security forces, intercepted a refrigerated truck in the Al-Fadhiliya area carrying materials smuggled through the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing. Authorities confirmed that these substances pose a direct threat to public health and are unfit for human consumption. The seized cargo
will be destroyed under judicial orders, as inspection campaigns continue to safeguard citizens' food security.
