The Ministry of Agriculture has approved the launch of rice (Shalb) seed distribution to farmers in preparation for the summer agricultural season. The decision was made during a meeting of the National Seed Council, which voted to allocate 35 kilograms
of various seed types per dunam, based on a first-come, first-served basis. The approved measures also include mechanisms for receiving, storing, and purifying thousands of tons of harvested seeds at specialized facilities in Babil and other provinces. This initiative aims
to support the agricultural sector and secure the essential requirements for a successful summer harvest plan.
