Military Intelligence Seizes Over 81 Thousand Narcotic Pills in Anbar Desert

Military Intelligence announced the seizure of large quantities of narcotic pills in the Anbar desert that were prepared for smuggling and trafficking, as part of a qualitative security operation carried out before they reached the distribution stage. The directorate explained that the operation came in implementation of the directives of the Military Intelligence leadership, and with accurate intelligence information and continuous follow-up by the Intelligence and Security Department of the Fifth Infantry Division, where the detachments were able to seize more than 81 thousand narcotic pills, found in a desert area with a tracking device that was used to secure the transport and smuggling operation. It indicated that the seized materials were dealt with according to legal procedures and applicable regulations.
