Civil Defense Rescues Dozens of Trapped Individuals and Extinguishes Fire in Central Baghdad Commercial Building

Civil defense teams successfully controlled a major fire that broke out in a commercial and residential building in a vital area of central Baghdad, managing to rescue 25 people trapped inside. The incident resulted in 10 individuals suffering from varying degrees of asphyxiation; they received first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation on-site before being transferred to hospitals for necessary care. Authorities indicated that the six-story building lacked occupational safety standards. Forensic experts have been summoned to launch an official investigation to determine the exact causes of the fire in accordance with legal procedures.
