Iranian Television Confirms Agreement with Washington to End the War and Lift the Naval Blockade

Iranian state television announced a comprehensive peace agreement with the United States, mandating an immediate and permanent halt to military operations across all fronts, including Lebanon. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the finalization of the drafted memorandum of understanding, crafted with the assistance of mediators, ahead of its official signing in Geneva. Under the agreement, Washington commits to the immediate lifting of the naval blockade on Iran. Gharibabadi noted that the accord initiates a 60-day negotiation phase to address unresolved issues, including the nuclear dossier and reconstruction projects, equipped with mechanisms to monitor compliance. Concurrently, the US administration confirmed the lifting of the blockade and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, amid widespread regional and international welcome.
