rafidainscope - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the execution of two separate operations at the National Insurance Company and the National Pension Directorate in Baghdad, resulting in the arrest of two suspects, one of whom is a department director, caught red-handed accepting bribes and engaging in extortion.
The Commission stated in an official press release that a team from the Investigation and Seizure Department in Baghdad apprehended the director of the legal department at the National Insurance Company while receiving a bribe in exchange for renewing a land lease contract in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate.
The statement added that another operation led to the arrest of an employee in the Political Prisoners Department of the National Pension Directorate. The suspect was caught receiving money after blackmailing a citizen to release her accumulated financial dues. The citizen's bank card was found in his possession.
The Commission confirmed that the suspects were presented before the judge of the Rusafa Investigation Court, who ordered their detention in accordance with the applicable laws.
