rafidainscope - The Federal Commission of Integrity announced that its detachments successfully arrested a Ministry of Interior employee in Anbar province, caught red-handed receiving a financial bribe from a complainant in exchange for false promises to cancel an alleged arrest
warrant. The Commission explained that a specialized investigative team managed to apprehend the suspect in flagrante delicto while receiving the funds. The suspect had engaged in blackmail and extortion, falsely claiming the existence of an arrest warrant against the citizen
to demand money for its cancellation. It was added that the suspect's statements were recorded, and he was presented, along with the seized criminal evidence, to the competent judicial authorities, which ordered his detention pending investigation under the applicable legal
provisions regarding integrity and anti-corruption cases.
