A security source reported on Friday (May 15, 2026) that the home of the President of Al-Israa University, Abdul Razzaq Al-Majidi, was targeted with a sound bomb in the Rusafa side of the capital, Baghdad. The source stated that unknown
assailants targeted the house on Palestine Street, noting that this attack is the second of its kind following a previous targeting. The source confirmed that the explosion did not result in any human casualties, and the damage was limited to
material property. It is noteworthy that the President of Al-Israa University had recently been subjected to direct threats due to his commitment to ministerial instructions and regulations, according to a previous statement by the university presidency.
