rafidainscope - The head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Zaid Houshi al-Moussawi, met on Thursday (September 10, 2026) with the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region, Rebar Ahmed.
In a press statement, the Counter-Terrorism Service said the meeting discussed a number of security files of priority between the center and the region, foremost among them developing coordination mechanisms and the exchange of information and expertise, and enhancing the
level of integration between security institutions to confront terrorist challenges and threats, and pursuing the remnants of terrorist gangs and drying up their sources of support.
The statement added that both sides stressed the need to continue cooperation and unify joint efforts, enhancing the security agencies' ability to respond to challenges and consolidate security and stability throughout the country.
