The Environmental Police Directorate at the Ministry of Interior has denied circulating rumors regarding the escape of lions in the Taji Beach area north of Baghdad, confirming the stability of security and environmental conditions in the area. The Directorate clarified
that field detachments conducted comprehensive surveys and inspections of farms and reserves in cooperation with relevant security agencies, recording no actual sightings of loose lions. It explained that the observed traces do not constitute conclusive evidence to support these rumors.
The Directorate urged citizens to obtain information from official sources and avoid spreading unverified news, emphasizing the readiness of its detachments to handle any emergency.
