Counter-Terrorism Service Launches Large-Scale Security Operation to Track Terrorist Remnants and Secure Vital Sectors

The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced the launch of a major security and military inspection campaign across several Iraqi provinces, aiming to pursue remnants of terrorist gangs and destroy their hideouts. This proactive operation relies on aerial and ground reconnaissance, as well as precise intelligence, with the participation of specialized units and engineering detachments. The scope of operations covers the western desert of Nineveh, Baiji, the Najaf desert, the Nukhaib desert, and areas in Wasit, Diyala, and Dhi Qar, extending to the Muthanna desert and Basra. These actions are part of the CTS's strategy to raise security readiness and secure vast desert regions, ensuring public safety and maintaining overall security.
