Chief Justice Zaidan Affirms Protection of Freedom of Expression and Objective Media Discourse

The head of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, during a meeting with the head of the Iraqi Media Network, affirmed the importance of protecting constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression and adopting objective media discourse that serves the public interest. He stressed that media should operate responsibly, committed to facts and objectivity. Meanwhile, the head of the Iraqi Media Network presented Chief Justice Zaidan with three volumes of the "Illustrated Encyclopedia of Iraq," a visual documentary project aimed at archiving Iraq's civilizational and historical heritage.
