Bahrain Calls for an Urgent UN Security Council Meeting to Stop Iranian Attacks on its Territory

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the escalation of Iranian attacks on its territory, which included targeting the Kingdom with ballistic missiles and drones. Manama considered these attacks not as accidental incidents, but as reflecting a systematic approach that violates the Kingdom's sovereignty and threatens the security of its citizens. In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the recurrence of this aggression is a clear violation of previous Iranian commitments and relevant international resolutions, warning that these actions undermine the chances for de-escalation and stability in the region. Bahrain called on the UN Security Council to hold an urgent meeting to assume its responsibilities, work to stop these violations, and hold the perpetrators accountable. It also stressed that compromising Bahrain's security is a direct threat to the entire Gulf security system, based on the principles of the Joint Defense Agreement of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
