Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani directed, on Monday (April 27, 2026), to take the necessary measures regarding the horrific traffic accident that occurred in Kirkuk Governorate, which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in an official statement that "Al-Sudani received with deep sadness and sorrow the news of the accident, expressing his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured."
The statement added that "Al-Sudani ordered the concerned authorities to communicate with the families of the victims and the injured and provide them with the necessary support and care, in addition to taking legal measures against the negligent."
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, on "the necessity of ensuring the application of safety and security conditions and adherence to traffic rules and instructions, to ensure that such accidents are not repeated in the future."
