A number of resident doctors from the 2024 cohort in hospitals of Muthanna Governorate announced a work stoppage at their workplaces, in protest against the failure to settle their employment files.
Government hospitals in the city witnessed a strike organized by dozens of resident doctors, demanding their permanent employment and an improvement in their salary scale.
The participants in the protest movement confirmed that their step comes to pressure for addressing their administrative and financial conditions and securing their due rights, amid continued stalling in settling the employment file.
