The US Department of State announced reaching a "tripartite framework agreement" bringing together the United States, Lebanon, and Israel, aimed at officially ending the state of conflict and achieving lasting peace and security in the region. Washington confirmed that the
agreement guarantees the right of both countries to live in safety as sovereign states, with a gradual path to enable the Lebanese army to extend its security and military control and disarm non-governmental groups. The agreement includes the formation of
joint military coordination teams, in addition to US pledges to mobilize international support for Lebanon's reconstruction and economic revival. This diplomatic initiative comes after months of military escalation, seeking to secure borders, ensure the safe return of civilians, and establish
