Cybersecurity experts have warned of a surge in cyberattacks relying on "social engineering" techniques, exploiting artificial intelligence tools and fake promotional videos to trap users. These campaigns lure victims with offers of free services or unlicensed versions of popular applications,
leading to the installation of malicious software that steals personal and financial data, as well as passwords. Specialists emphasized that the danger of these attacks lies in their reliance on persuading victims to voluntarily provide their data through fake websites.
They stressed the importance of enhancing digital awareness, avoiding suspicious links, and enabling multi-factor authentication to protect accounts.
