The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced on Wednesday the complete detachment of "Saraya al-Salam" from the movement and its full integration into state institutions under the command of the General Official of Military Formations. According to
the issued statement, this step is driven by the supreme national interest to protect the country from potential risks, enhance state authority, and restrict arms to official institutions. The decision also includes merging civilian entities associated with the formation into
the "Bunyan Marsous" foundation, with a strict ban on the use of headquarters, weapons, military uniforms, or organizational names. Al-Sadr concluded his statement by expressing his gratitude to the members for their past efforts.
