The relevant regulatory authorities for media and communications announced the dismantling and seizure of three unlicensed encrypted digital broadcasting networks in Basra Governorate, in direct coordination with judicial authorities and specialized security agencies. A series of field operations were executed
based on judicial warrants, resulting in the shutdown of illegal networks across various areas. All utilized devices and equipment were confiscated and transferred to competent authorities to finalize legal procedures. The operations included raiding the premises of these network operators,
where additional equipment was seized, along with the discovery of an unlicensed satellite communication system that was legally confiscated. These field measures are part of an ongoing government campaign to enforce the law, protect the frequency spectrum from indiscriminate and
illegal use, safeguard the rights of officially licensed entities, and ensure full compliance with effective national legislation.
