Prime Minister-Designate Holds Talks in Erbil to Organize the New Government

Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi held important talks on Saturday (May 2, 2026) with the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, in Erbil, with the participation of a Coordination Framework delegation. A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office explained that the meeting reviewed the country's political situation and discussed developments in the dialogues regarding the formation of the new government. Both sides stressed the imperative of unifying visions to form a strong cabinet capable of meeting citizens' aspirations, overcoming crises, and achieving stability and development in Iraq.
