President of the Republic Affirms Support for Anti-Corruption Efforts and Calls for Enhancing Women's Leadership Role

President of the Republic, Nezar Amedi, affirmed the presidency's dedication to supporting and consolidating government and judicial efforts aimed at combating corruption. During his participation in a conference on combating violence against women, he emphasized that the security and stability of the region are closely tied to the security and stability of Iraq, noting that the country's strength lies in its unity and the prioritization of supreme national interests. He added that supporting strict legal measures to recover public funds is a priority, indicating that protecting Iraq's sovereignty is a joint responsibility amidst current regional developments. Furthermore, he called on political blocs to ensure fair representation of women in the cabinet, expressing his hope for the nomination of female figures to sovereign positions such as Vice President or Deputy Prime Minister, or the establishment of a dedicated ministry for women's affairs.
