Pakistani Foreign Minister Holds Phone Call with Iranian Counterpart to Discuss Regional Developments

Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call today, Monday (May 4, 2026), with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed the latest developments on the regional scene, in addition to diplomatic efforts being made in this regard.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement that the call focused on recent regional developments and discussed diplomatic moves undertaken by Islamabad to enhance security and stability in the region.

This contact comes within an escalating diplomatic movement that witnessed mutual visits and high-level meetings between the two sides, during which ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation were reviewed, as well as efforts made to contain tensions and crises in the region.
