The National Security Service announced on Friday the dismantling of a criminal network involved in drug trafficking in Anbar Province, arresting 50 of its members, and destroying a factory used for manufacturing narcotic pills. An official statement indicated that the operation was based on precise intelligence and rigorous surveillance, beginning with the arrest of one member caught in the act. The investigation subsequently expanded, leading to the capture of the remaining network members. The operation resulted in the confiscation of over 2.5 kilograms of crystal meth and approximately 15,000 narcotic pills. The suspects and the seized materials have been referred to the competent judicial authorities.
