Finance Minister Faleh Sari directed the launch of the third phase of the comprehensive electronic customs system project, "ASYCUDA," at the beginning of next month. This directive was issued during an extensive meeting that included the management of the General
Commission of Customs and representatives of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The meeting discussed the completion rates achieved and the technical requirements for the upcoming phase, which aims to enhance digital transformation and expand automation at
border crossings. The Minister emphasized that this project is a fundamental pillar for modernizing customs administration and simplifying procedures, which will actively contribute to enhancing oversight and improving performance efficiency. This, in turn, will positively impact the maximization of non-oil
revenues and the improvement of the country's business and investment environment.
