Ministry of Electricity Forms Central Emergency Room to Ensure Power Stability During Summer and Major Visitations

The Minister of Electricity, Ali Saadi Wuhaib, issued urgent directives on Saturday to form a central emergency room to address the challenges of the summer of 2026 and secure the requirements of upcoming religious visitations. The action plan includes monitoring electrical loads, resolving network bottlenecks, and enhancing the technical readiness of power plants and transmission lines to ensure a continuous power supply. The Minister emphasized the necessity of field presence for senior staff rather than relying solely on office work, granting members of the emergency committee full authority to overcome technical and administrative obstacles, in line with the scale of the challenges and to ensure optimal service delivery to citizens.
