The Ministry of Electricity announced the formation of a joint operations room to supervise the energy supply plan between the capital, Baghdad, and the holy city of Karbala, in conjunction with the approach of the month of Muharram. The plan
includes mobilizing maintenance teams, preparing transport vehicles to serve pilgrims, and exempting them from scheduled power cuts. Concurrently, the ministry launched an intensive campaign to remove violations on transmission and distribution lines in Baghdad to ensure system stability and reduce
unscheduled outages, alongside executing emergency maintenance and proactive rehabilitation of national grids.
