Iraqi Prime Minister Discusses Regional Developments and Stability with Iranian Foreign Minister

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his accompanying delegation to discuss the latest regional developments and bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, along with several strategic files of mutual interest. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the recent agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America to halt military operations, as well as international and regional efforts aimed at enforcing security, respecting state sovereignty, and preserving territorial integrity. The Prime Minister emphasized that Iraq maintains a firm stance supporting the priority of ending armed conflicts and adopting dialogue and negotiations to establish stability in the region, which contributes to enhancing economic development opportunities for neighboring peoples. For his part, the Iranian Minister renewed his country's commitment to supporting Iraq and coordinating jointly to strengthen the framework of bilateral cooperation, confirming Tehran's keenness to build solid relations with all neighboring countries and the Arab region.
