Under the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji traveled to the Russian capital, Moscow, to participate in the first International Security Forum. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral partnership tracks with Russia in
both security and economic sectors. During his meeting with the Secretary of the Russian National Security Council, Al-Araji emphasized Iraq's ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East and relying on dialogue as a fundamental pillar for
establishing stability. The discussions also resulted in an agreement to hold a new round of meetings for the joint Iraqi-Russian committee to develop avenues of cooperation serving the strategic interests of both nations.
