Iran: We Will Target Any Foreign Force Approaching Strait of Hormuz Without Coordination

Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters in Iran warned today, Monday (May 4, 2026), that any foreign force attempting to approach the Strait of Hormuz without prior coordination with Tehran will be targeted.

A command statement affirmed that Iranian forces bear responsibility for securing navigation movement in the strait, stressing the necessity of coordinating ship passage with relevant Iranian authorities under any circumstances.

The statement added that Tehran specifically warns against the approach of US forces to the area, confirming that any such move will be met with a firm military response.

The statement called on commercial ships and oil tankers to refrain from passing without prior coordination, in order to ensure their safety and navigation security in the strait.
