The Federal Integrity Commission announced the dismantling of a network specializing in the smuggling and illegal sale of scrap metal in Maysan Governorate, operating in collusion with several government employees. Extensive investigations and surveillance of state-owned sites resulted in the
arrest of eight suspects caught in the act of gathering and preparing the materials for smuggling. The individuals involved have been referred to the judiciary for necessary legal action under the penal code.
