The electrical power sector in the capital, Baghdad, is witnessing widespread debate coinciding with the setting of private generator pricing, amid calls to adjust fuel support mechanisms. Relevant authorities explained that the government has decided to provide subsidized fuel quotas for generators as part of the summer plan. However, the failure of a large segment of generator owners to register in the official system hinders the delivery of support and negatively impacts the final pricing.
