Rafidainscope - The Iranian Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization announced that the international land transport agreement for goods between Iraq and Iran has officially entered into force, marking a strategic step to enhance trade cooperation between the two nations. The
organization confirmed that this agreement, resulting from high-level diplomatic coordination, will shift trade relations from traditional memorandums of understanding to international legal frameworks that facilitate transit movement. Under the agreement, Iraqi trucks will be able to transport goods through Iranian
territory to third countries, while Iranian fleets will utilize Iraqi land to reach various destinations. Notably, trade volume through Iranian land borders recorded the transportation of approximately 7.49 million tons of exported and imported goods since the beginning of this
year.
